A picture I like

I really like this picture!

I think is pretty funny... is a picture of a little monkey of a shelter ("Centro de rehabilitacion de Primates de Peñaflor")... it's a saimiri, or "Squirrel Monkey". I think it was taken two years ago, on January 1st, actually I took it, because I went with my uncle to check if he was okey after a long travel, after a long story too!.

This monkey wad captured on Arica, a family had him as a pet. and that's illegal! The SAG went to pick him up, to take him to a shelter... and he ran away! he was so scared of the people that he escaped. The people from the SAG found him hours later, hidden in another house. Then he traveled from Arica to Santiago, where finally got to this Monkey Shelter.

He's pretty happy now, people treat him with a lot of love, and they really care for him. His name is Guillermo, and he likes to eat green peppers, and loves when people take pictures of him, can you notice his face? He looks hipnotized by the camera!!! Not many people can visit this shelter and have contact with the monkeys, because most of them are animals with troubles, because of the abuse they suffered, some of them were illegal pets, or were taken away from circus, so when he's got visit, he acts like he is the center of attention!
